How to Get 50 Pets in WoW

WoW Pets One of the achievements a player can obtain in the World of Warcraft that is very popular among players is to obtain 50 vanity pets on one character. This achievement is called “Shop Smart, Shop Pet... Smart” and it rewards the player with yet another vanity pet called “Stinker” (a lovable skunk pet with big blue eyes!). Many people like collecting rare pets and mounts in game and so it is very popular for players to try to obtain this cute little skunk pet. Here is a quick guide on how you can obtain your own little stinker pet including where to get them and how much they cost.

Firstly all the pets obtainable easily by a vendor:

Vendor: Donni Anthania.
Location: (44.2, 53.4) Elwynn Forest, North of Goldshire.
Pets: Cat Carrier (Bombay), Cat Carrier (Cornish Rex), Cat Carrier (Orange Tabby), Cat Carrier (Silver Tabby).

Location: (28.2, 74.5) Booty Bay, The Old Port Authority building.
Pets: Parrot Cage (Senegal), Parrot cage (Cockatiel).
Cost: 80s total for 2 pets. (Total 6 so far)

Vendor: Dealer Rashaad.
Location: (43.5, 35.2) Netherstorm, Stormspire.
Pets: Blue Dragonhawk Hatchling, Brown Rabbit Crate, Cat Carrier (Siamese), Cockroach, Crimson Snake, Mana Wrymling, Red Moth Egg.
Cost: 71g60s for 6 pets. (Total 12 so far)

Vendor: Sixx.
Location: (30.0, 34.6) The Exodar, The Crystal Hall.
Pets: Blue Moth Egg, Yellow Moth Egg, White Moth Egg.

Pets: Rabbit Crate (Snowshoe).

Location: Darkmoon Faire (obtainable once per month)
Pets: Tree Frog Box, Wood Frog Box (Limited Supply).
Cost: 2g for 2 pets. (Total 24 so far)

Now you are nearly half way there to obtaining a grand total of 50 vanity pets at a grand total of 419g70s. Once your character is at least level 77 you can begin working on the argent tournament dailies in Icecrown. Once you are exalted with all alliance factions you will be bale to access their quartermasters in the Argent Tournament and purchase vanity pets in exchange for 40 Champion’s Seals each.

Ironforge – Dun Morogh Cub
Exodar – Ammen Vale Lashling
Darnassus – Teldrassil Sproutling
Gnomeregan Exiles – Mechanopeep
Silver Covenant – Shimmering Wrymling

This totals 240 Champion’s seals and 30 pets so far collected leaving 20 pets left to obtain to gain this achievement. The rest of your pets will need to come from either buying horde pets from the auction house, buying the pets from vendors only available during WoW holidays or by completing special quests that provide a pet as a reward. Here are some of the key quests you can complete to gain some of these remaining pets.

Special Quest Rewards:

Dalaran Fishing Daily – Random drop chance from “Bag of Fishing Treasures” which is obtained by completing any of the fishing dailies. Pet: Strand Crawler
Argent Tournament “A Chapion Rises” – Quest from Argent Tournament dailies that reward you with a pet. Pet: Argent Squire
Shattrath Fishing Daily “Crocolisks in the City” – Random drop chance from “Bag of Fishing Treasures”. Pets: Chuck’s Bucket, Toothy’s Bucket, Snarly’s Bucket, Muckbreath’s Bucket.

There are many other pets that can be obtained by quests rewards in addition to this as well as many that are available from vendors or as loot from special bosses during holiday seasons. Some vanity pets are also only obtainable by grinding on certain mobs as they are a random drop chance from mobs or in certain zones. The Children’s week holiday also provides some unique pets as quest rewards which you will need to repeat each holiday to collect them all.
