Easy Ways to Earn and Make Gold in WoW

Gold Making WoW

To start with, let me say that the WoW gold making tips we provide here are very basic, but will help you increase your gold.  If you really want to earn a lot of gold easily and quickly, you need to take a look at Dugi’s Professions and Gold Making Guide.  Dugi is by far the best in the business when it comes to making gold, and he knows the most optimal ways to amass gold quickly.

One of the many challenges players face in World of Warcraft actually has little to do with monster bashing. As with real life, in World of Warcraft players have to earn a certain level of income to cover the costs their character will face during the course of the game. Players who like to raid for example will quickly rack up bills on the order of several hundred gold just from armor repairs, buying gems and enchants for new gear and consumable items such as food, flasks and potions that are required to bring their game up to raiding level. There is also a wide range of crafted armor available in WoW, some of which is still viable at the highest level of raiding but that costs an absolute fortune to get made. Some people find it incredibly easy to make vast amounts of in-game money while others struggle to get by on the bare minimum. You will be pleased to know that there are many easy methods by which any player can earn gold in the World of Warcraft, and you can choose whichever suits you best.

Daily Quests

One of the more obvious options is to complete as many daily quests as you can each day. Some are more lucrative than others, however, and you will need to choose carefully to maximize your earnings. The Argent Tournament grounds in Icecrown offers a series of daily tournament quests that can be completed in 30-45 minutes and provides around 100-150G in total. There is also a daily quest offered by the Jewelcrafting trainer in Dalaran that can be completed within a few minutes and provides a token which can be traded in for a Dragon’s Eye to sell on the Auction House. The prices of these vary from server to server but it is usually somewhere around 100G just for a few minutes work.

Materials Farming

If you have a gathering profession such as Mining, Herbalism or Skinning and you have the time available, you can make a serious amount of money just by going out and gathering materials for sale on the Auction House, and you don’t have to stop there. If you mix up your gathering with killing elementals in Northrend, for example, these also provide Eternal Earth, Water, Fire, etc which all sell for nice amounts of money on any server.

Crafting Items

Of course, one way that people have always made money in game is through crafting professions. If you are a Leatherworker, Blacksmith, Tailor, etc you can easily craft items and sell them either in the Trade channel in cities or on the Auction House. Once you have enough money you can also invest in patterns for high level gear and charge a fee to craft these items for other players. Many people are prepared to pay in the region of 100-200G just for someone to make them an item of the highest level available. There are also items which can be made by trading in emblems for Runed Orbs and Crusader Orbs and these sell for several thousand gold. If you can cash in on these patterns, you will have it made.

Heroic Dungeon Farming

Although not immediately obvious, heroic dungeons are a great way to make money. If you run enough of these, and have a strong enough team to not die thus saving on repairs, you can actually make decent money. Not just from the actual coinage that drops in these instances, but also from blue and epic items which can be sold to vendor or disenchanted for materials to sell, and from emblems which can be used to buy orbs for sale or for crafting.

Playing the Market

There are other ways to use the Auction House that not many people consider, and while it may take more money to get started initially, can quickly provide a massive return on your investment. Buying items that are below average value and placing them back on AH at the correct price (taking into account what you will lose to the AH cut and also the deposit if you need to place it on AH multiple times) can make a serious amount of profit quickly. There are also even items sometimes which appear on AH at less than the price they vendor for, and these should all be purchased and then sold to vendor for a profit.
