Lil' K.T. and Panderan Monk - The New Pets

New Wow Pets Lil KT and Panderan Monk

Blizzard introduced a new line of products to their online store on 4th November 2009 called the Pet Store which has made many World of Warcraft gamers spend the day scrambling together any spare change they have. The store launched on Wednesday with two unique pets that are unobtainable with the game itself called “Lil’ K.T.” and “Panderan Monk”. Each of these pets are available online at price of 10EUR (or £9.00) each and players will receive this pet account wide on all of their characters much like the Mr Chilly Penguin offered to players for merging their account with battlenet.

Lil’ K.T.

The pet known as Lil’ K.T. seems to be a small un-dead lich with a strikingly similar resemblance to Kel’ Thuzad the Lich in the Naxxramas raid dungeon. Nicknamed affectionately by blizzard as the “Mini-Lich” this in game vanity pet laughs maniacally at your vanquished foes in PVP combat and freezes nearby critters at random. You no longer have to eat Stormchops to destroy those pesky critters around you; your very own mini Kel’Thuzad will do this menial work for you! This pet not only acts cool, it looks pretty good too and both alliance and horde players alike are sure to be scrambling over each other to get this mini boss under their control.

Lil’ K.T. has been taken from the Naxxramas boss known as Kel’Thuzad who also goes by the names of “The Archlich”, “Lich Lord of the Plaguelands” and “Lord of Naxxramas”. Kel’thuzad has a lot of rich history within WoW lore and was responsible for spreading the plague in Lordaeron. Kel’Thuzad was originally slain by Arthas only to be resurrected by him later after he became a death knight. Kel’ Thuzad has always been a follower of the Lich King and previously ruled the scourge from his necropolis Naxxramas above the Plaguelands. In the most recent World of Warcraft expansion: The Wrath of the Lich King Kel’Thuzad was re-introduced to WoW players through the re-making of Naxxramas which has since moved from the Plaguelands and now sits in Dragonblight on the Northrend continent as a new 10 and 25 man raid and as a part of the requirement for obtaining the “Champion of the Frozen Wastes” title.

Like many of the bad guys in WoW lore, Kel’ Thuzad was once a powerful mage of the Kirin Tor council in Dalaran until his lust for knowledge and the dark arts consumed him and he started hearing the summons of the Lich King in his head. Now you can have your very own mini Kel’ Thuzad as you travel around Azeroth letting no happy little critters get in your way.

Panderan Monk

The Panderan Monk pet is a symbol of respect and generosity as some of the proceeds from this pet are donated to the Make a Wish foundation charity. This cute this panda man bows to any player that performs a /bow emote to him in game as a sign of respect. While idle this cute little pet will also begin practicing and fine tuning his kung-fu skills to perfection. This little pet has been seen around the game already as many people choose to show off their own little Panda as the ultimate status symbol with a heart.

The Panderan people are essentially humanoid pandas with customs very similar to China. These pandas have a strong affinity to ale and herald Brewmasters above all else so they have a strong relationship with the Ironforge Dwarves. They originally allied with the night elves in Kalimdor but when they realised their fascination in magic was getting to be too much they severed their ties and moved to a secluded island. It is perhaps a strong suggestion that Blizzard are thinking about re-introducing the Panderan to Kalimdor after the Cataclysm so we may see some Panderan settlements in Stonetalon if we are lucky but for now we will have to occupy ourselves with these cute but deadly little companions instead.

Of course the ultimate aim is to be able to purchase both of these fantastic new pets and be some of the first gamers to receive these lovable (or maniacal) mini creations. Luckily enough if you do not yet have the “Shop Smart, Shop Pet... Smart” achievement these pets could lend you a nice helping hand as an easy way to bag yourself two in-game pets without any of the effort to get them. We can also expect more pets like these to hit the Blizzard stores following a resounding success with Lil’ K.T. and Panderan Monk so make sure you keep some money aside just in case!
