An RPG sequel from Square Enix is set to make its long-awaited debut on Xbox next year, following its previous release on PC, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch in February. Yes, Octopath Traveler II has been officially confirmed for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, scheduled for early 2024.

During the exclusive Xbox broadcast for Tokyo Game Show, Microsoft made this exciting announcement. Octopath Traveler II initially launched on February 24, accompanied by a complimentary demo for the RPG sequel. Notably, progress made in the trial version can be carried over to the full game.

Heidi Kemps, in her review of Octopath Traveler II for GameSpot, described the game as “a captivating experience from beginning to end, leaving me eagerly anticipating the future of this series.” This RPG offers eight distinct playable characters, making the choice of where to begin quite challenging.

In addition to Octopath Traveler II’s arrival on Xbox, Microsoft also revealed a plethora of new Game Pass titles during the Tokyo Game Show. For example, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will be available on the subscription service from day one, starting December 9. Furthermore, the upcoming Atlantic City expansion for Fallout 76 is set to launch on December 5. However, Steam players can get an early glimpse of the new location by accessing the public test server from October 3.
